D'Arcy Benincosa is a world renowned international photographer and an industry leading expert in marketing, mindset, and motivation for creative entrepreneurs. D’Arcy has worked for Sports Illustrated Magazine and her work and teachings have been featured in The Huffington Post, Martha Stewart, Out Magazine, ABC, NBC, The View, and Upworthy. D’Arcy has educated, consulted and inspired thousands, while also founding three six-figure businesses in the past decade. When she started she had one camera, one lens, and a massive dream – taking her small start up photography business from $16,000 to $120,000 in revenue in just 11 months.
As an educator and coach for creatives, D’Arcy is the creator of The Marketing Map, The Profitable Portfolio, along with several other masterclasses and programs, and is launching College for Creatives in September 2020
IN CARLI'S WORDS: We needed to differentiate D'Arcy from the soft and feminine color palette that other photographer educators out there were using. D'Arcy had a much bolder personality and therefore called for a bold brand that was as equally beautiful.
IN D'ARCY'S WORDS: "I knew I was ready for a change. I had a clear brand personality that I had developed over the last several years, but my graphics, logo and color palette were all over the place as I tried to piece them together on my own (like all entrepreneurs!)"
D'Arcy had brought together two seemingly unalike things into a beautiful brand strategy. Moving film photography and bold ambitious education. We decided to go with a classic typography mix that had drastic thick and thin lines to bring the two together. In the color palette we mixed a bold red orange and black with a creamy white and gold to compliment both sides to her brand.
"I was initially drawn to Carli Anna's work when I saw her tagged on a friend's feed. I was drawn in by the design work I saw and once I landed on her Instagram page, I knew I had finally found the designer for me! With our first conversation, I told Carlianna that I was going to be a difficult client-- that I had tried branding before and nothing ever quite "stuck". Logo after logo attempt and it never felt quite like "me". Enter Carli.
